Notes From The Grand Knight
By Ray LeTourneau, GK.
Vivat Jesus
I want to thank all my Brother Knights for
all the work that is accomplished within our
Council. We are getting a tremendous
amount of help at the fish fry. Oct 25
th
is our
next fish fry so lets continue to show our
support.
At our last 1
st
degree we welcomed 3 new
men into our ranks as Worthy Knights. The
membership is doing a tremendous job
getting new members. Many men have
never joined us because they simply were
never asked to check us out and see all the
good deeds we perform.
I would like to thank the Honor Guard from
our council for their great participation
whenever a call goes out that we are needed
at some event.
There is an Officer’s meeting scheduled for
6:30 pm at our 1
st
meeting in Nov. Anyone
can attend the early Officers meeting if you
wish to. We have some projects to discuss
regarding our finances.
We now have a Knight’s Spouse memorial
service in place. If you need this service
please call me at 653-5277. We do all our
services by request so that we do not just
intrude upon your time of bereavement.
John Rizzo is doing a good job setting up all
our youth projects for the council. Some
members might not realize we sponsor an
essay contest, spelling bee, poster contest,
ice crème social, and also a basketball free
throw contest for all the kids. When John
asks for help let’s all jump in and give him a
hand with our youth projects.
Neil Campbell called and said he is doing
better. Norb Bergeron is doing a little better
and said he might be at our Nov. meeting.
Bob Weycker is still ill so lets keep all these
good Knights in our prayers. Please let me
know whenever we have a member sick or
in distress so I can call or send a card from
all of us in our council.
Fr. Tim called and thanked us for the
support we gave to the Catholic Medical
Association. He said the Bishops are behind
this project 100 %.
In closing I cannot begin to tell the members
how proud I am of all of you at Co. 10170
for the effort that you put forth in all our
endeavors.
Fraternally Yours,
Ray LeTourneau GK. 10170
