Notes From The Grand Knight

Our Pancakes with Santa was a 

tremendous success and showed the 

parish what the Knights of Columbus 

is all about. We are family orientated 

and capable of taking on big 

projects. I am proud of all of you for 

a job well done. A special thanks to 

Sally and Tom Higgerson, and Peter 

Deisel for all the shopping that was 

done. I also want to thank " Santa 

Claus" and his helper for making this 

event so nice for the Kiddies. Our 

pancake crew was outstanding as 

usual. 

 We cancelled the Dec. 

newsletter because everyone 

involved was so busy because of the 

holidays. Our Christmas party went 

well and everyone had a good time. I 

invited all the widows and many 

came to the party. We must update 

our list because some of the invites 

came back to me. I must thank the 

people who helped me set up the hall 

and cook. Dick Hubbard, Bob 

Dickerson, Phil Labarge, and Cliff 

Van Overbeke. Jim Dryfuse and 

Denny Owens did a great job 

handling the white elephant 

exchange. 

 Our Free Throw Contest went 

very well. We have some good 

shooters moving on to the next level. 

I sent them all letters giving them the 

date and time of the next 

competition. I will be at the next one 

as our council representative. Thanks 

to John Rizzo our youth director, Bill 

Krebs, Dennis Cavinaugh for being 

there with me. Basketball was my 

favorite sport so I couldn't figure out 

why I was so tired but then I 

remembered that was 100 pounds 

ago. 

 The next Fish Fry is Feb. 7th 

so lets get the word out so it will 

pick up a little bit. Don't forget 

Brother Knights this is where we 

make our money to do all the good 

things we do through the year. 

 At the District meeting all 

they stressed was membership. Lets 

go Brother Knights and get 

recruiting your friends and your sons 

into our Order. Many have never 

been asked to join. 

 Feb. 15th & 16th we will be 

having a Blitz to try and get new 

members. On the 16th at the 10:00 

am Mass we will conduct our 

Corporate Communion.  

 Feb. 23rd after the 10:00 

Mass we will have Pancakes for the 

Parish in the Family Life Center. 

 Please Brother Knights lets

Neil Campbell, Debbie Laguire, Beth 

Clark, John Miller in our prayers.
