Notes From The Grand Knight

   On Feb. 2nd, I was at Holy 

Family in Grand Blanc to help with 

the district free-throw contest. We 

had 3 participants from our Council 

contest win the district competition 

and move on to the next level. 

Congrats to all our kids at Holy 

Redeemer. 

 In Detroit at a Dinner 

honoring Fr. Swiat as our State 

Chaplain we received an award for 

achieving our membership quota. 

We are doing super so lets keep it 

up. Hopefully we can get many new 

Knights from our blitz that just 

concluded a couple of weekends ago. 

The health of our council depends on 

always getting more Knights in our 

order. Have you ever asked your 

sons or friends to join our council? 

 As you know by now we 

have pledged $10,000.00 to Fr. Bill 

for debt reduction of the Family Life 

Center. Fr. Bill asked us to Man the 

doors for a parish pledge drive. I 

want to thank all of you who 

volunteered to help hand out pledge 

cards the weekend of the 23

rd

. 

 Thanks to everyone who 

participated in our Corporate 

Communion that was held on Feb. 

16th. We had a chance to show what 

the Knights are about. 

 Fr. Bill asked us to help 

support the Mardi Gras debt 

reduction party. We cannot expect 

people to come to our events when 

we do not support parish functions.  

 Our Fish Frys start on March 

7th and continue all through Lent. 

That's 7 in a row Brother Knights so 

we need a lot of help. Be generous 

with your time because this is how 

we fund all our projects that we do 

through the year. 

 Remember March 30th we 

are hosting a major degree at the 

Family Life Center. This is a chance 

for our council to shine and show 

what we can do. All our 1st degrees 

should be there as candidates for the 

2nd and 3rd degree. Our council will 

also host a 1st degree and I know 

what a great job that they will do for 

us. 

 Please contact our insurance 

man whenever you have questions 

on the KofC plans. Also please 

return his calls whenever he leaves a 

message. Our insurance man is 

named Kevin Patterson. His phone #
