Notes From The Grand Knight

 The last year has gone by so 

fast I can hardly believe it. Our 

Council has accomplished so many 

goals this year. I want to thank the 

Officers and the Membership for all 

the work that was done this year to 

make our Council thrive.  

 June 3

rd

, 2003 we held our 

elections. I was elected to another 

term as Grand Knight. Tom 

Higgerson- DGK, George Kukler -

Treasurer, Dick Hubbard -Warden, 

Matt Howe –Chancellor, Phil 

Labarge- Recorder, Don Simon- 

Outside Guard, Mike Lotridge- 

Inside Guard, Thad Modrack- 1 year 

trustee, Cliff Van Overbeke- 2 year 

Trustee, Derwain Bellmore- 3 year 

Trustee, and Norb Bergeron is our 

Advocate for the coming year. I 

know the Council is in good hands 

for the coming year and with your 

help we can have another great one. 

 June 17

th

 is our Appreciation 

Dinner. 6pm- social and Dinner at 

7pm. Wives are welcome and bring 

desserts. 

 Aug.8

th

 is the Lug nuts game 

in Lansing. All profits from this help 

to support seminarians. The Bishop 

throws out the first pitch and a good 

time is had by all. Jim Ballinger is 

the chairman for this event. Tickets 

are $9.50. 

 Aug.9

th

 is our Golf Outing at 

Southmore. Cliff Van Overbeke is 

the chairman. We need more 

donations for the prizes. The prizes 

do not have to be golf related. Get 

your team signed up as soon as 

possible. It is $35.00 per man. 

 The MR drive checks have 

been mailed out to our recipients. 

We are already receiving thank you 

notes praising our Council for a job 

well done. 

 For the new members and 

those who have not been to a 

meeting in a while come join us in 

making our Council the best in the 

State. Pick a project and give us a 

couple hours of your time. You will 

find out it was worth the time and the 

effort. 

 In closing my Brother 

Knights keep praying for all the 

people on our sick list. 

Father McGivney pray for our 

Council that we may have continued 

success in all our endeavors.
